Proficient in several chiropractic techniques, Dr Whittington offers each patient a unique approach to their particular problem or concern. Some are listed and described below.
Network Spinal Analysis, also known as Network Chiropractic, is a gentle approach to releasing tension along the spine, connecting to blocked or stuck areas for profound yet gentle “adjustments.” Very little pressure is used with this method. Some had described it as feeling like laser focused “spinal acupressure.” Highly effective for relieving pressure along the spine, no “popping” or “cracking” sounds are heard, yet, in an almost “time released fashion” the adjustment seems to continue to work for up to 12 hours after the visit though results are often noticed right away. Dr Whittington was one of the first chiropractors in the country to receive the highest level of certification in this method.
Applied Kinesiology:
“A/K” is based on the science and technology of very specific muscle testing to detect imbalances or health problems. It may involve using body reflexes, nutrition, or other tools to assist the person achieve health and proper funcion. Dr Whittington has extensive training in A/K.
SacroOccipital Technique:
This is form of chiropractic that focuses on the Sacrum, or low back and the neck and head area. Often wedges are used in strategic areas and the body is positioned in a way to relieve pressure on the spinal disks and joints, effectively using the bodies own weight to make the adjustment or move the pelvis back in to position.
Acitvator Instrument.
Activator Method is a complex system of analysis of the spine and used an “Activator Instrument to make the chiropractic adjustment. Although Dr Whittington is not an “Activator Practitioner” he is familiar with approaches from the Activator Methods protocols. Many people love this type of adjustment because it offers a little more force than “Network Chiropractic” but still involves no twisting of the spine or “popping”.
Diversified:
This is the traditional chiropractic adjustment. A popping sound may be heard as the spinal vertebrae are repositioned to better alignment and joint and physiological healing occurs.
